The El Paso/Juarez Chapter of ASIS International has make great strides in making the CPP Certification very attainable. In the past our CPP guru John Feighery, CPP has brought together a study class that has doubled our CPP's in the Chapter. His study guides and information are available to any who wishes to challenge the test.

As a whole the CPP, PCI and PSP Certifications have been an a upward trend. It is attributed to more and more employers who see the need to support a certification program for its ever increasing security departments. The largest areas of interest for the specialized certifications are coming from the military and law enforcement ranks. They also see the need for professionalization of these specialized units in their organizations. We encourage anyone interested in becoming a CPP, PCI or PSP to talk to one of our many CPP's about their experience.

Certified Protection Professional

This certification designates individuals who have demonstrated competency in all areas constituting security management.

Professional Certified Investigator

Holders of the PCI certification have demonstrated education and/or experience in the fields of case management, evidence collection, and case presentation.

Physical Security Professional

The PSP designation is the certification for those whose primary responsibility is to conduct threat surveys, design integrated security systems that include equipment, procedures and people, or install, operate and maintain those systems.

ASIS MEMBERSHIP & CERTIFICATION

For years the world has recognized a need for competent professionals who can effectively manage complex security issues that threaten the people and the assets of corporations, governments, and public and private institutions. As the emphasis on protecting people, property, and information increases, it has made the demand for professional security practitioners even more urgent. To meet these needs, ASIS International administers several certification programs.
